Landmark Builders Group, LLC is owned and operated by Matt Clark and Leah Geis. Matt and Leah are long-time friends, with different backgrounds, who blend their prior experiences in bringing a well built, esthetically pleasing home to market.
Matt was a residential real estate agent and investor for many years. During his tenure as an agent, he developed an eye for good design and a keen understanding of the market. As a real estate investor, he renovated many homes and saw the fruits of his labor by profitable returns on the investments. It was a natural progression to step into building homes full time. He enjoys to process of building a product from the raw lot to the finished home. Matt is detail oriented; he reviews each house on a weekly (sometimes daily) basis to determine if all work is up to and beyond our standard.
Leah wanted to be an architect from a young age. After taking drafting classes in school, she decided that drawing straight lines was not her forte and this might hinder her design ability! (this was before C.A.D. was the common tool). So her education and career took her into software design and project management. After taking a bit of time out to raise her twin boys, she joined Matt in building fine homes. She
brings her knowledge of project management to the table as well as her "spacial" ability (the ability to see a home from a female's perspective, regarding the flow and use of space).
Matt and Leah are supported by Nancy Scott, our bookkeeper and Bryan Dowdie, our project manager. Nancy has a nose for numbers and loves paperwork. We know this is an unusual quality and had to snatch her up to keep our books and papers straight. Nancy has an extreme attention to detail and helps us keep financials up to date and always available for our customer's review.
Bryan Dowdie has 20 years of experience building and renovating houses. He learned it the hard way, by doing it every day. Bryan knows every phase of the projects intimately and watches closely over our many tradesmen who join us in building houses. Bryan has enhanced his home building skills, by learning automated project management tools to manage and track his projects. Bryan is in constant communication with our clients to keep them abreast of the status of the projects. | |
